The UniCycle is Fair Food Challenge's bicycle kitchen that is helping to make university events fairer, healthier and more sustainable. Currently the UniCycle is operating on The University of Melbourne's Parkville campus in collaboration with the Student Precinct Project Team

Cut Down on Waste at events

The UniCycle comes with 150 reusable plates, cups and bowls and reusable cutlery. Cut down on single-use serving ware and minimise waste at your next event. The serving ware can be hired with The UniCycle or we can deliver it separately.

We can also deliver our bin system which separates out organics, recycling, soft plastics and rubbish so you can make sure you are not sending unnecessary waste to landfill.

Make You Next Event a Fair Food Event

We will work with you to help source fair food for your event. Whether that's advice about what's in season, how to cut down your food waste or how to make your catering more healthy.

We can help with information about where to buy local food or how to use some of the great resources available on campus like the Melbourne University Food Co-op or the Melbourne University Farmers Markets.

Cook for a Crowd or Run a Cooking Demo

The UniCycle comes with a two-ring gas burner, an esky, cookware and utensils. You can hire the UniCycle for a faculty, student group or club and society event. The UniCycle can help you cook for a crowd or run a cooking demonstration.

This project is supported by a University of Melbourne SSAF grant
